    Open Install-MCP-WhatsApp from your Downloads. If the browser asks whether to keep it, choose Keep.

  1. Open the fileפתחו את הקובץ

    Open your Downloads. If you see Install-MCP-WhatsApp-Mac as a zip, double-click it first. Then double-click Install MCP-WhatsApp.

  2. Allow it onceאשרו אותו פעם אחת

    The Mac doesn’t know this file yet and says it can’t check it. Click Done, open System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down, click Open Anyway, and double-click the file again.

    It tells Claude where to get the installer, to read it first, where it installs, and to send nothing.

    Install MCP-WhatsApp on this computer for me. It connects my own WhatsApp to you (Claude Code or Codex). It comes from https://wa.ishon.net, installs for my user only, and doesn't need admin rights.

1. Download the installer for this computer to a temporary folder, and read it before you run it:
   - Mac: https://wa.ishon.net/install.sh, then run: sh install.sh --yes
   - Windows: https://wa.ishon.net/install.ps1, then run: powershell -NoProfile -ExecutionPolicy Bypass -File install.ps1 --yes
   It downloads its own copy of Bun, checks every download against its SHA-256, and puts everything in ~/Library/Application Support/MCP-WhatsApp (Mac) or %LOCALAPPDATA%\MCP-WhatsApp (Windows).
2. Give it up to 10 minutes: at the end it opens a QR code in my browser and waits for me. Tell me to scan it: WhatsApp → Settings → Linked devices → Link a device. If the command stops before I scan it, that's fine: after I reopen you, I'll ask you to "link WhatsApp".
3. Show me the summary it prints. Then tell me to quit and reopen you, and to ask "what's new on WhatsApp?".

Don't send any WhatsApp messages while you do this.

It reads and sums up your chats, and finds old messages.
“What’s in the voice note from Mom?”
It sees photos and turns voice notes into text, on your computer.
“Reply that I’ll be there at eight.”
It writes the reply and waits. Nothing is sent until you approve that exact message, and sending stays off until you turn it on.
“Send me a summary every morning at 8.”
Summaries and reminders arrive in your own “message yourself” chat.
From your phone: “claude what’s new?”
Write to yourself and the answer comes back in the same chat. From the phone it can only read.
